Dear Nicholas,
Today marks three months since you were born, and since then, you have changed our lives so much. Your smiles, squeals, cries, laughs, and bright eyes not only show us how special and amazing you are, and how blessed we are to have you, but teach us the preciousness of each life-- and what work we must do to expand our hearts to live with this truly in mind.
You love your pacifier, napping in our arms, milk, milk, and more milk; you enjoy your baths, even when Daddy splashes water in your face; you love to suck on your hands and drool everywhere; your favorite song is "Sai, gatinho"; you amaze us with your conversational skills; you already notice Manny and Inca, though aren't sure what to make of them; you love when Mommy plays the piano for you, and when Daddy sings to you; it's hard for you to wake up in the morning, but once you do, you love to play and smile; you're learning to control your arms and hands and head very well already; you get a little upset with new faces and places, but soon adapt; you are full of joy, happiness, and seem very comfortable being here with us!
We read to you and sing to you; we walk and run with you; you go to the library, the Big Red Barn, the grocery stores, and even Home Depot! You help us pick vegetables in the garden and put away dishes in the kitchen. You are a loving, sweet baby! Happy 3 months birthday!
Daddy, Mommy, Inca, and Manny, and the rest of your family in the US and Brazil!
